While pharmaceuticals may sometimes be necessary to help with pain, my goal is to help my patients thrive without a dependence on pain medication.
TRIGGER POINT INJECTION
Is a minimally invasive procedure commonly used to relieve muscle pain and trigger points. During the procedure, a small needle is used to inject a local anesthetic, saline, or steroid directly into the myofascial trigger point. This helps to alleviate muscle tension, spasms, and pain. Myofascial injections can provide significant relief for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions such as myofascial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia and tension headaches. Myofascial injections is a valuable tool in managing and reducing muscle pain
RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION
Using heat generated by radio waves, RFA targets specific nerves to interrupt pain signals, providing long-lasting relief for conditions such as arthritis, back pain, and neuropathies. I utilize advanced technology and personalized approaches to help patients regain control and find comfort in their daily lives. Discover how radiofrequency ablation can provide lasting relief and help you reclaim your life from chronic pain.
NERVE BLOCKS
Nerve blocks are a vital component of my comprehensive pain management approach. By administering targeted injections of local anesthetics or anti-inflammatory medications to specific nerves, pain signals can be effectively blocked providing patients with profound relief. Advanced techniques are utilized to ensure precise placement and optimal therapeutic outcomes. Whether it's for chronic back pain, neuropathic conditions, or acute surgical recovery, nerve blocks offer a safe and effective alternative to systemic medications, allowing patients to regain control and improve their quality of life.
EPIDURAL INJECTIONS
Epidural injections are highly effective treatments for managing pain associated with the spine. These injections deliver medication directly into the epidural space to reduce inflammation and alleviate discomfort. Whether you suffer from spinal stenosis, herniated discs, or other spinal conditions, epidural injections can provide significant relief, allowing you to resume daily activities with greater ease.
STELLATE GANGLION BLOCK
A stellate ganglion block is an interventional pain management procedure that can provide relief for various types of pain, especially those originating from the upper extremities, head, neck, and face. By targeting the stellate ganglion, a cluster of nerves at the front of the neck, this minimally invasive procedure helps to block sympathetic nerves responsible for transmitting pain signals to the brain.
This block offers a potential solution for managing chronic pain conditions such as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), nerve injuries, shingles, fibromyalgia and vascular insufficiency. Stellate ganglion block not only helps in reducing pain but can also improve circulation, promote faster healing in certain conditions and help with some anxiety disorders.
BOTOX INJECTIONS
Botox injections are a non-surgical treatment that alleviates pain by relaxing the muscles. While it is more commonly known for its use in cosmetic treatments, Botox is also an important tool in pain management. Botox injections make therapeutic use of the botulinum toxin type A, a toxin produced by a bacterium called clostridium botulinum. Small amounts of the toxin, when diluted, can be safely injected into muscles to relieve pain. Botox works by blocking certain nerve signals that control muscle activity and can be used to treat uncontrolled muscle contractions and to relax chronically contracted muscles. Botox injections can be used for chronic neck pain, chronic back pain, muscle spasms, arthritis, nerve pain, migraines, tension headaches and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain.
FACET JOINT INJECTION
Facet joint injections are used to relieve pain and inflammation in the facet joints of the spine. The facet joints can become painful due to arthritis, injury, or mechanical stress, leading to neck or back pain. During the procedure, a local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication are injected directly into the affected facet joint under fluoroscopic guidance, providing targeted relief. Facet joint injections often serve as both a diagnostic tool and a therapeutic treatment, helping patients manage pain and regain functionality.
LUMBAR PLEXUS BLOCK
This procedure involves injecting medication around the nerves in the lumbar plexus, which is a network of nerves in the lower back. Lumbar plexus blocks can provide effective pain relief for conditions such as hip or pelvic pain, as well as for certain surgical procedures involving the lower extremities. It is also effective for back, abdominopelvic, and leg pain related to cancer and its treatments. By targeting the source of pain directly, patients can experience reduced discomfort and improved mobility.
GENICULAR NERVE BLOCK
Genicular nerve blocks are used to alleviate chronic knee pain. By injecting a local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication around the genicular nerves, this treatment disrupts the pain signals from the knee to the brain, offering significant relief for patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis or persistent knee pain after joint replacement surgery.
Genicular nerve blocks not only offer immediate pain relief but also serve as a diagnostic tool to help determine if a more permanent treatment such as radiofrequency ablation may be beneficial in the future.
BURSA JOINT INIJECTION
Specialized care is offered for patients suffering from hip pain through targeted hip injections. Appropriate medication will be administered to reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and improve mobility in the hip joint. Whether caused by arthritis, bursitis, or injury, a personalized approach aims to provide effective relief and restore quality of life.
S/I JOINT INJECTION
A sacroiliac joint injection is a common technique employed to diagnose or manage lower back pain originating from the sacroiliac joint. This joint serves as the connection point between the spine and the pelvis. During the procedure, a healthcare provider administers medication directly into the joint to alleviate pain.
Transforaminal Epidural Steroid Injection
A transforaminal epidural steroid injection is a minimally invasive procedure used to alleviate pain and inflammation in the lumbar region of the spine. During the procedure, a corticosteroid medication is injected into the space around the spinal nerve roots. This can help reduce swelling and irritation, providing relief for conditions such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, or radiculopathy. The injection is administered under fluoroscopic guidance to ensure precision and safety. Patients may experience temporary soreness at the injection site, but this typically resolves quickly. The effectiveness of transforaminal epidural steroid injections can vary depending on the individual and the underlying cause of their pain. It is important to discuss potential risks and benefits with a healthcare provider before undergoing this procedure.
